Over the past couple of months I've talked with lots of brides. One of the most often asked questions is "do you have any suggestions for my beach arrangements?" To that, I always suggest 3 things. 1) The OBX has no rules, so you can place chairs, beach towels, cushions, or even sea shells down as place holders AND, you can do it in any way you like. 2) Make sure you do have a designated area for your wedding. Most everyone on the Outer Banks loves to see a wedding on the beach and are very respectful when they know one is getting ready to happen. As long as you make a space where everyone knows there's going to be a wedding, people will move out of the way so as not to be intrusive. 3) Make sure that, what ever you do with your place on the beach, it's YOUR vision and fits YOUR personality. The beaches of the Outer Banks are here so that you can get married the way you want to. As an example of what I'm talking about, I found one of my favorite setups of this past year.
