Dustin & Nicole's Honeymoon & Maternity Session in Southern Shores

One of the things I love most about being an Outer Banks photographer is that every session tells a unique story, and Dustin and Nicole's story brought them to Southern Shores during a very exciting season of life.

After celebrating their wedding back home, they chose the Outer Banks for their honeymoon and wanted to commemorate the trip with a special beach session. Not only were they enjoying their first days as newlyweds, but they were also expecting another little one, making this both a honeymoon and maternity session. To make it even more special, they brought along their beautiful baby girl.

The afternoon could not have been more amazing. The ocean was a brilliant blue, the waves rolled gently onto the shore, and Southern Shores provided the perfect backdrop for their portraits. We captured plenty of romantic moments between Dustin and Nicole, celebrating both their marriage and the anticipation of welcoming a new baby into their family.

Their daughter added so much personality to the session as well. Some of my favorite photographs were the family portraits that highlighted this sweet season of growth and excitement. From maternity images on the beach to playful family moments in the sand, every photograph told part of their story.

We finished the session along the water's edge, with the waves washing around their feet as they soaked in a quiet moment together. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful afternoon on the Outer Banks.
